Ear-to-Palm Meridian

In other personal health news,(an advance apology to my two readers from Zaozhu and La Greve Sur Mignon) I’ve developed an enigmatic rash in the meaty section of my right palm, directly beneath where my thumb joins my hand.

I was listening to my earphones at work. When I stretched out my legs behind my computer and brushed my legs against the mass of wires back there, my earbuds shocked me. It wasn’t violent. It was a little technological static electric reminder of Benjamin Franklin. I stretched out my legs again and the buds gave me another “How’s your father?” Hmmm. Interesting. Then I noticed the rash.

I know that in TCM a body is interconnected along meridians and channels. Points on the feet, hands, ears correspond to points and organs in other places of the body. So I sent a text message to my friend who’s studying TCM wondering if there was a connection between the inner ear and the meaty part of the palm. No answer yet.

Static electric shocks to the inner left ear canal and subsequent slight rash on the right hand. Coincidence?

Update: My friend never got back to me. So I sent him an email. "Did you get the text message about my rash? I need an answer pronto."

Hmm, if that picture is of the rash on your hand, I would say the medical mystery is the least of the questions you need to answer.
