Love/Hate

I have a love/hate relationship with birds.
On one level, I like the fact that they can fly. Flight uplifts the spirit. Flight is freedom on three planes. Flight makes problems on the ground seem small and insignificant.
On another level, the physical structure of birds grosses me out. I hate their scaly feet, their talons. I don't like the feathers pincushioned into a birds skin. I don't like their beak and small head and beady little eyes.
I do, however, love korean and japanese style fried chicken. But I hate the look of leftover bones and mauled carcass leftover and beneath clouds of greasy burps.
I love playing with dead animals and placing them in anthropomorphic poses for man's enjoyment. The laughter derived from such poses is pure and primal. A caveman would laugh at the above picture.
I hate the taste of pigeon.
