Prison Love Letter

Found these gems on Swapatorium. They're images of a love letter written from prison in 1977, the year of my birth. The guy in the second picture looks like he's giving his wife a heimleich.






This would be a cool writing exercise - love letters from inmates. Dostoyevsky and Nelson Mandela immediately come to mind. But a letter from the twins I knew in High School who spent time in Juvie for stealing a car might be more interesting and challenging. (Note to self: A t-shirt that says "Juvie" in helvetica or a prison font is a good idea.)
