The List

I got to sit courtside at the Knicks game last friday. Mine eyes witnessed little girls with hair extensions riverdancing. It was fascinating and my moral radar blipped. The scene eerily evoked the beauty pageant for little girls at the end of Little Miss Sunshine. Although, any of these girls probably would have taken the talent category, the hair extensions couldn't have looked more unnatural.

I can't think of any other art form that mimics something which mimics human movement. Does that make sense? Riverdancers look as though they are imitating marionettes. What other art form does this? It's satanic.

Here's a shot of the Hornets team warming up:

During the game, anytime that they were on the line shooting free throws, I would start chanting "Gon-orhh-eee-aaaa!!!!" Now, I get to cross that off the list of things to do in my lifetime. I felt a bit sheepish towards the end of the game when I looked back and saw many kids behind me. But, hey, I was too busy thinking about my list to yell "Earmuffs!" at them.

Here's Malik Rose. The other two are indignant about something and Malik Rose is flirting at something.

Oh yeah. And another highlight was telling Steve Francis that I was Yao Ming's cousin. He gave me a "what-up-i'm-in the middle-of-a-game-so-i-need-to-act-bad-ass" nod of the head. He is pretty badass.

Been neglecting the blog lately as I've been busy with some deadlines at work. Still need to post more New Orleans stuff and a little video short i made on the subway.

You're a horrible influence on children and free throw percentages. But it sounds like you had a great time, which is good. :)
