Cold Sesame Noodles
1) Got these korean noodles in Chinatown.
2) Decided to make some cold sesame noodles. Didn't have any sugar so I improvised and used jam and honey for the sauce. Ghetto, but ghetto fabulous. (peanut butter, honey, jam, few glugs of soy sauce, a hefty drip of chili sauce, and I used maybe a third to half cup of hot green tea)
3) I like the shade of green. Used the last of the scallions I bought from Fairway in Redhook. Fairway offered one of the most pleasant shopping experiences I've ever had and the views from the outdoor picnic tables are ridiculous. Probably go back out there this weekend with my sister and get a cup of coffee.
4) Thought I had lost this gas can of soy sauce. Found it behind some lentils.
5) Tossed the noodles in sesame oil and then chilled the noodles for a while before adding the sauce.
6) God's personal gift to my taste buds. Makes everything taste so much better.
I wish I had some chicken to shred and some cucumbers to julienne. Otherwise, I think it tastes good and my lunch for tomorrow is finalized.
